Stuck it on the wife's netbook last week, she seems to like it.

I use 14 myself, so see no need to move to 15 at this stage.

I must get it too, to see what's new, but I am really waiting for 17 next year, the next 5 year LTS.
I also use LMDE which never needs a re-install, excellent alternative to constant new releases.
Edit: Tried Mint 15 Cinnamon, very nice, if 17 is going to be at least this good, then it will be a keeper - well for five years anyway!

No idea, I can't get 15 working on my hardware at all, but join the Linux Mint forums for specialised help:

if you have a proprietary wifi card, you need to menu/sources/additional drivers while plugged into internet via ethernet, it'll download and install the appropriate driver same for video card if needed/

I got it installed and working now. I made a bootable usb with linux usb image writer instead of Unetbootin, worked like a charm.

Do you like LMDE? I find it ok, I use Cinnamon.
Not sure about battery life, I use a laptop minus it's screen and connected to a s/h vga monitor as a dektop ,and run it from it's charger, minus the battery.
I also have four other distros on it, can't decide which to use permanently and give the whole disk to use. It's a typical linux affliction I think.

Ya , I find it ok too .I use Cinnamon and the battery life is over 4 hours ,most other distros are

2.5 hrs .I dual boot with win 7 which I never use .I also have the problem of switching to other

distros, but the battery life on LMDE has me sorted as of now . .
