Bath Repair

Had my bath replaced and have managed to get a chip/hole in the new one!! Such a waste of money!

Anyway am getting the floors and wall tiles done on Saturday so have arranged for this crowd - http://www.surfacetransformers.ie/ to come out on Friday to repair the new bath and have a few questions:
    1) Anyone have any experience with this company?
    2) Anyone have a similar repair done? What were the results like? Did it last?
    3) Should I reschedule for another time? I've since read that you can't go in to the bath for a few days and am assuming the tilers will need to do this on Saturday

What are they charging to repair the bath, just wondering as to compared to tbe cost of changing the bath before tiling.

It works out a little less but it's the timing that's an issue. I just need to get my bathroom back at this stage and won't find the time to purchase a bath and get it fitted before they arrive to do the floors/walls

Its more than likely going to be the case that the tilers will have to be re-scheduled as you wait for the repair to take.
Personally I would change the bath for the peace of mind, as I am not a great believer in bath repairs especially if the hole is in the bottom anywhere near the plug hole and people are going to stand in it for showers.

Any recommendations for a plumber I might get to replace the bath on Friday in the Meath area? Should be a straightforward swap and there's no floors or tiles to worry about!

You're right to change it now, an expensive lesson, but you'd be pulling your hair out if you have to change it in a few months or even a few years, after re-tiling.

What part of Meath are you in, someone here might send you a pm with some contact details.
