Anybody know much about him? made his pro debut in liverpool first round stoppage. Ricky Hatton always seems to be tweeting about him...

He is from Belfast, and had a record of 94 wins from 98 fights in the amateurs, picking up a youth olympic gold along the way. http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sport/othersports/youth-olympic-games-boxer-ryan-burnett-seals-gold-for-ireland-28555136.html
He was meant to turn pro in 2012 but failed a brain scan. He only got his licence in February, and there is very high hopes for the lad. I have not seen much of him myself, but if he can transfer his amateur ability to the pro game, which is never a certainty, then he could be a very exciting prospect. Hatton definitely seems to rate him-
“I am extremely excited about this young man entering the professional ranks,” The Hitman said.

“I’ve been working with him for a while now and ever since he walked into the gym I thought this kid is a special talent.

“I believe he will go all the way and follow in the footsteps of so many of Ireland’s finest that have gone before him.

“That’s providing he has all the attributes needed, like self-belief, dedication, chin and the ability to keep his feet on the ground once all the praise and pats on his back come his way.”
