I'm originally from Swords now out in Donabate, and I've just about tried them all. They are all in and around the same price, and most offer the same sort of quality of mat and the likes.

Personally I've been going to Portmarnock driving range the last year. €10 for two hours, as many balls as you can hit. I don't mill balls like a lunatic, but it's nice to know I have two hours to work on my game. Some days I go through a good few baskets, the other days just a few.

But comparing to anywhere else, its a no brainer for me. I go atleast once a week to keep things in tune, maybe twice if I'm working on something specific. Guy in there is sound enough, the mats are good quality. And it seems to be very quiet most of the time, why I don't know. I'm not a snob or elitist or anything, but I enjoy not having many people around and having no interruptions. Although I'd prefer a cinema nearly empty rather then full, so might be just me :)

The one up at the Ward is 2 hours for €10 now too.

The one behind the coachmans has the automatic teeing system though

Yes. €5 for 45 balls. Half that if you're a member.

Consider also Fingal Golf Centre at the airport roundabout, Drynam Park Golf Centre and Kinsealy Grange Driving Range. I've tried them all and like them all.

half way between finglas and ashbourne. Take the exit for St Margarets. It's just before you come to the White House Pub
