For Sale is one Salsa Casseroll built up as a tourer (Frame details/geometry)

(Note the front wheel in the image is different to the one being sold)

    Spec is as follows:
Dura Ace SL-BS78 Bar End Shifting Levers

    Shimano 105 FD-5603 Front Derailleur
    Stronglight Impact Triple Chainset 28/38/48

Shimano Deore RD-M591-SGS Rear Derailleur (Long Cage)
    Shimano SLX CS-HG81-10 Cassette 10-speed 11-34

    Tektro Cantilever Brakes
    Cane Creek SCR-5 Brake Lever

    Brooks Swallow Saddle

Wheels are Rigida Sputnik Rims, 36 hole on the rear with Tiagra Hub, and 32 hole on the front with a Shimano DH-3N80 hub dynamo

The front rack comes with the frame, and there's a Surly Nice Rack on the rear of it.

I'll even throw in the SPD pedals that are on it too (no idea exact model)

All in all, a Bargain at €1100 -I'm only selling it to fund the replacement of the stolen road bike :(

What kind of KM have you done on it?
Was it used for tourning/commutting or both?

To my chagrin, there's probably less than 200k on it. Was built up for touring, but family/life got in the way, and then my road bike got stolen, hence the sale.

(The saddle has a lot more wear on it as it's an older one, but everything else is pretty much brand new)

Oh, and I'm 6' tall, usually rode a Large Planet X, just to give people an idea of the size...

sorry to hear about the stolen bike. any chance you'd consider splitting the bike? I'm looking for a steel tourer but have a full campy groupset and wheels. what length is the top tube?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,860 ✭✭✭TinyExplosions

    Top tube is 54cm

Afraid I'd rather not spit it, as then I'd have a pile of parts that's harder to sell, and so I'd rather go all or nothing.

    Thanks for the interest though.

Giving this a bit of a bump to see if there's any interest, as although I got the stolen bike back, we're now emigrating so it still needs to go!
