Lads does anyone know how to get an America work visa if your not a student and never been one.
A mate's dad is getting me a job doing factory work I just don't know how to go about getting a visa.
Any first hand help would be great.

Hate to break it to you, but moving to the US to live and work is not an easy thing to do. If it was, everyone would be doing it. You can't get a work visa, unless the company that you work for is willing to sponsor you for one. It is not something that you can apply for yourself.

Sponsoring an employee for a work visa involves considerable expense that will run into the thousands of dollars & the hiring of immigration attorneys. So understandably, they won't be willing to go to that trouble and expense for just anyone. The company in question often also has to prove that there are no American citizens available to do the job that they want to bring in a foreign worker to do. If all you are doing is unskilled factory work (no offense, but I don't know of another way to put it) that will be virtually impossible.
