    Hi all,

Just wondering if you can help me out...

Moving in with the gf shortly for the first time, and while I wouldn't be totally useless around the house, I certainly don't want to be found wanting in the handyman stakes!!

Can anyone recommend a good book for basic Handyman stuff?

    Cheers.

In fact, if you do a search in this forum you'll probably find what you need, if not, just ask.

Readers Digest DIY book. Available in hardback for when you need something to bash your misbehaving router or wifi doodah.

Most of the large chain DIY stores will carry it.

If you're near blanchardstown, I'll give you one. It's under the stairs for years. I think it's the readers digest that knucklehead was referring to.

Thanks folks for all the suggestions - I'll probably just buy that Reader's Digest ibook - seems to be the best.

Careful not to be too handy at this DIY lark or you could be asked to do jobs the entire time...

Make sure to burst a pipe or even better, cause a small fire the first time she asks you to do some work. :pac:

Youtube is fine, some great stuff there..

Buy if you're old school and like a book to browse through..

    http://www.amazon.com/Collins-Complete-Manual-Albert-Jackson/dp/0007425953

I have the older version of this.. Always found it reasonably useful as a guide..
