Question regarding meat and not totally refrigerating it

    Hey all,

    My question regarding meat and not totally refrigerating it is as folows;

    Got packets of vacuum-packed kangaroo and crocodile from an exotic game butchers in Terenure, and a packet of Dennys sausages from a local Spar. Brought them to a BBQ (Saturday), didn't eat them, so ended up eating some of the sausages next day.

    Now, I didn't have them in the sunlight on the Saturday (had them in a shed-type structure), but when I opened the packet on Sunday, and grilled the sausages, they tasted odd. Got two other people to confirm that they tasted odd. Not gone-off as such, just odd. So I binned them.

    So I'm wondering if the vacuum-packed kangaroo and crocodile would be the same, or would they be okay to eat at a later stage? The vacuum-packed kangaroo and crocodile were put into the freezer Saturday night when I got home from the BBQ, and like the sausages, were not opened on the Saturday.
