Laptop issue

    Hi all

Want your opinion on the issue with my laptop it's a toshiba and it's about 6 years old. As see in picture when I press the power button it does indicate power is coming on, but nothing shows up on screen, and the 2 ligths (above 9 and 0)should come on when it's boosted, also the disk light at bottom the light goes off and can hear what it sounds like shut down after a few seconds.

There's been times when it won't switch on at all, I've managed a an odd time manage to get it running and it dosen't indicate if there is a problem with the system? I was told it could be one of the drives but I'm thinking now it's something to do with the on/off switch when I have it on and powered up the disk light is flashing as I'm navigating the site (think that's normal showing it's working

Something else which I'm not sure if it relates, twice when I was watching something on RTE player it switched off itself, I press it on and it comes back on no problem.

Is it possible it's repairable? and how much would it cost? at the moment can't afford new one but can pay some to get it fixed

    Thanks

    EDIT

Sorry forgot to mention that the screen won't go on when I try to power it up

Any chance you could try a different charger and/or RAM? Try this with the hard drive removed also. Outside of that you may be talking about a faulty board. The laptop looks clean. If you had the patience and time you could break it and ebay it piece by piece. You may be surprised what you get.
