Lightweight summer jacket advice

We all know those days where it's warm but still a bit cool - too warm for a heavy coat, and too cold for just a cardi. I'm looking for a jacket for those kind of days, on a relatively limited budget. I'm quite open to different styles, but I do tend to wear longish cardigans so I'd want something I could wear over a cardi without looking stupid. Any advice on where to look? I'm not seeing much online yet.

Oh, I'm not interested in parkas, and I'd prefer something flattering to an hourglass shape .
