    Hi all,

I've had a problem with my nail polish cracking, not chipping immediately, but cracking, which then lets to chips.

Any idea what could be causing it?

I'm not being funny, but by any chance have you accidentally put on a crackle/shatter effect polish? :o

    Haha! That's happened before! :pac:

But def not this one. It's a Barry m one that's not crackle. I'm just totally stumped as to what's causing it!

Did you get it recently? Boots have withdrawn all their Barry M nail varnish from sale for "not meeting our high standards".

got it about 2 months ago. Do you reckon it could be a top coat issue?

That was because some bottles were overfilled and could possibly break.

I think Il have to buy a different top coat to see if this issue continues. I've tried another colour and brand and its the same!

OPI is the best base/top coat I've used. It was recommended to me and now I can wear any nail varnish for days without chipping. It was worth spending the extra on cos now I can wear essence varnishes for cheaps :D

I wonder is it something to do with the new EU ban on animal testing?

Saw boots in Stephens Green, Dublin had a few in stock today but only about 20. The stand was definately empty last week.

    Nevermind, just saw this!

I swear by Seche Vite now for top coat. With any other I've used it's lasted a few hours before getting chips in it but the SV is making it keep put for a good 3 days before even getting the tiniest bit of a chip. Also I love how you use it over wet nail varnish as it dries so quickly so no smudges.
