Haven't played it in a few years but used to enjoy it.

Not golf course manicured but ok.

Not super long but certainly some full swing tee shots. Can't imagine much longer than maybe an 8-iron.

If you go to play it I'd like to hear what kind of condition it's in now though!!

I played it the end of 2011 and they had changed it since I was last there.

It is has 18 holes. Some are simple pitch & putt type holes - pitching wedge job. They have re-arranged the other holes to make reasonably long par 3 holes - low iron or even a utility wood.

I played it a few times in 1 month and each time I was there, there was 1 person keeping the greens or cutting grass. The grass on the greens is OKish - one step up from a pitch & putt course. There are some built up grass tee boxes but in some places there are plastic mats.

One thing I didn't like is that the greens are very small so on a 'longish' par 3 it is nearly impossible to get the ball on the green in one go.

The other thing was that the scorecard was not up-to-date. The course layout diagram was wrong at the time as they were swapping holes around. The flags on the holes didn't have numbers so even on a short course I just played whatever hole was handy as I didn't know where to go.

Look for €6 it is grand for not a serious game of golf.

I haven't been there in over a year so maybe there has been more improvements.

If you get a nice day like today bring something to drink & eat for afters and enjoy the views of the lake.

Really surprised at the quality of this course considering i only live 30 minutes away and have never heard of it until last week.
Some really great holes. The first couple of holes were average but 4-18 were very enjoyable. Struggled to hit the greens with a wedge in a lot of cases an 9 iron would have been ideal.
There were two guys out maintaining the course on the day and greens were very tidy.

The best course in the region in my opinion
