Mercedes S-class Key not working.

    Hi Guys.

    I have a 1999 Mercedes s280. Last night when I got home I took the key out of the ignition and I was unable to lock the doors. I replaced the batteries in the fob but still no joy.
    I am unable to start the car as the key will not turn, and the steering lock is not engaging.

    I have disconnected the car battery but this made no difference. I have tried the spare key and again this is not working.

    Any advice.....Daughters Communion today as well.:mad:

    Hire a helicopter to bring her to the First Communion, it will probably be cheaper than getting an S-Class key fixed!

    Any Help ????????Looks likes its the EIS, any body have an idea how much one will cost ??????
