I am moving to Galway Texas next month from Texas.
Interested to know if there are clubs or groups where people play soccer for fun in evenings or weekends.

I haven't arrived in Galway yet, so I am not sure.
My office would be in Tuam and I might stay near Tuam.

You'll find plenty of ways to socialise in Tuam. I'll leave it to some of the locals to fill in the details about soccer etc. :)

What you want it some astroturf league, something like this but for Tuam.
Someone that plays there should hopefully see this thread.

Thanks guys. Will look into that thread.

I grew up in an Irish Catholic School in India and uncanny co-incidence that I got a job in Ireland now :).
Excited to move to Ireland next month!

Most of the football groups here in Tuam are 5 a sides among groups of friends.

Are you on Facebook? If you are then you should send a message to Tuam What's On and ask them to send out a status saying that you are available to play.

There are two soccer clubs in the town too. Tuam Celtic and Dynamo Blues.

5 a side should be better actually :).

I joined this group on Facebook. Thanks for the pointers.
