This started today, results hard to come by, from the irish masters website:
    Non - stadia Championships
A small team will depart for the non-Stadia Champs in Upice, Czech. Republic in the coming days. However expectations are high as a very strong team compete in the M45s and are complemented by a few other individuals plus a number of Walkers who also have the potential to return with a number of medals. Best wishes to all. Competition kicks off on the 16th through to the 19th May. Please see www.maratonstav.cz for updates on results.

Some good new though.. in the 10k, Gerry Ryan (who turns 50 this year) won the M45. Almost won the whole thing, but finished 2nd overall behind a french M35. The course was supposed to be very hard in the second half - all uphill and lots of cobbles, etc. Gerry finished about 32 minutes dead - maybe a second or two either side, wasn't sure.

Gerry said that Mick Traynor also had a good run in the conditions - finishing in about 33:03 or thereabouts.

Irish m45 team was second behind Russia.

That's what I thought when I visited the site. Won and won well at M45, no? 1st, 2nd and 5th or so.

Was talking to one of the team last night, and he mentioned some of the international teams (Germany, Italy and Czech) had 50+ athletes, where as there was only 5 Irish.

Damo and Mick both ran the 10K, the cross country and the half, on consecutive days..

Makes their results all the more impressive...

Two team gold and a team silver for both Damien and Mick, with Mick also winning an individual gold and silver. Great achievement by all the lads. Absolute pleasure to run and train with these lads
