Windows 8 missing app tiles on start screen

For some reason some of my apps disappeared from the windows 8 start screen, that is the actual tiles themselves. However, when I search for them for they are missing. Additionally, if I go to the App Store it says that I already own the app so it doesn't give me an option to install them again. Anyone have any recommend to resolve this issue?

    Moved from Comp & Tech.

If you right click in the start menu, click the "all apps" button bottom right, do you see them there?

Go back to the store and Right Click (Touch: Swipe from bottom). Access the "Your Apps" panel. From here you can see every app you've ever downloaded from the store, which ones are installed, and can install them as a select batch
