hi all lads ive a bit of trouble i havent seen before

im dealing with a sanishower pump box.it was working fine for weeks, pumping away up and out,,,but last night it just stopped pumping

when it is turn on you can hear the pump trying to push the water up but then it goes dead,,then trys again and goes dead,,will do this till it is plugged out etc

when plugged out all the water will return to the box etc

anyone any suggestions or might be able to share previous experiences they have had with these type pump boxs

Check the non returv valve in the outlet , the flap might have broke off.
Also check the outlet pipe for blockages , disconnect the outlet pipe ( might be a fair bit of water back flowing , depending of the vertical rise on the pipe ) and blow through it .

the horizontal pipe is to long or the vertical pipe is not falling back towards the waste.

    if its a new system.
I have seen this before in a basement shop. the pipe spans where bordering on manufacturers guides. worked for a couple of weeks. sanishower replaced when the symptoms you described happened. However only worked for a couple of weeks again.
if the pipe is below 12 feet verticle it will work and a bank fall to the stack it will work. without bends.

is the nrv fitted and pointing in the right direction.

    if its an old system

nrv faulty or pipework needs to be descaled.

you just cant beat an old fashioned sump.
