I was out tonite and the lamp started turning off its self. Now it won't work at all I've tryed the ciggy lighter in the car tryed the battery and its the lamp. Tryed checking the connections all seem fine and the bulb looks ok to.

Ill pick a bulb up tomorrow and try that first.
Anyone hardly has came across this before or have a bit of an idea what it might be.

The wiring in them isn't the best. did you check the fuse for the ciggy lighter

When you say the wiring what do you mean. The thickness of the cables or the board for the dimmer. Ill prob just change the bulb first and see how that goes.

Ye I checked the fuse in the car on the battery the whole lot.

çall the wiring on them from cig conenction to to inside of the housing. the connections are just poorly done.

Happened to us one night and it turned out to be the connection inside the handle had broken. Easy fix to redo it.
It breaks from the pull on the connection when moving the lamp around and when stretching the coiled bit its also pulling the connection.
A way of stopping this is by putting some slack on the wire inside the handle and wrapping a thick loop of insulation tape around the wire inside the handle. so when pulled the insulation tape will be against the end of the handle taking the pull off the connection completely.

Good advice. I do the same with mine. Surely for the price of them lightforce could make the lamp a bit stronger.

On a quick look there the wiring is ok all the way into the board I'm unsure it the board is working properly and I'm unsure if the switch is working ok aswell.

Ye possibly I just haven't went at it properly I'd say that's what it is alright.

Got one of the boys to have a good look at the lamp today in work.

The switch is a bit faulty so we bypassed that altogether and still couldn't get the lamp going. He reckons there is a problem on the board he reckons the board is bolloxed.

Can I get a new board or wiill I just by pass the dimming of the light all together.

I was speaking to a disteibuter today who no longer will sell lightforce lamps, there is a design fault on the dimmer board which has resulted in a huge amount of product failures and returns, if you encounter the issue with the dimmer do not try to fix, return it to the shop for repair, replace or refund as is your consumer rights, there is no such thing as a 12 month warantee on goods that are supplied with a design fault, as they were never fit for purpose in the first place.

I'd say you would still need proof of purchase doe

Rang the place were I bought it. They will swap it no bother. Thank jasus.

He said get a deban tracer lamp instead. There suppose to be as good.

Would that be fair to say or would I be aswell to stick with the light force.
