Inset stove with boiler

I want to put an inset stove with boiler into an old fireplace in a small bungalow.
There is already an oil (kerosene) central heating system there heating seven rads and water. The stove would be fitted about 14' away from the immersion tank in the hot press . The immersion sits on the floor in the hot press.

Is it a big job to connect the stove to the existing heating system and what is the correct way to do it.
I will not be doing this job myself but I want to know in advance whats involved and what I should expect to pay.

    Thanks

Any ideas on this at all. I am really surprised nobody has come across this scenario before.

It's a very common scenario.First you need a twin coil cylinder in hot press the cylinder needs to be raised above height stove to allow for gravity circulation there's a lot more things to it best bet is get in a plumber that has experience in solid fuel heating and let them advise best.Budget wise stove €1200-€1600 depending on quality plumbing materials could be €300-€600 labour anything from €500-€1000 so I would say allow anything up to €2000-€3200 in that region

All told there is quite a bit of work /expense involved.
I have a quote for a Stratford (eb9ihe) inset with boiler which includes making a new seat in the chimney, liner, full size hearth and back (surround) €3900. The plumbing charge will be extra..... What do you think of that price.

If I go ahead will I have to cut a channel into the concrete floor between the stove and immersion or is there another easier way.
    Thanks

Systemlink do a new product called heat genie which allows you to keep the back boiler open vented and the rest pressurised. its basically a heat exchanger with overheat protection in the event of a power failure. You can pipe both flow and return straight up into the attic with a pump on the line and then the heat genine acts the same as any controlled heat source allowing you to heat water or rads. Systemlink are an irish business too based in dublin. Hope this helps, Its not the cheapest option but i have used these on installs and find them to be the safest option and most end user friendly.

That sounds like a good idea and would cut out a lot of work getting a pipe(s) under floors. Do you know how much the heat genie costs. Is the pump on the line electric ?
What do you think of the quote I have at the moment.
    Thanks

The heat genie on its own is approx €600 including vat for a 20kw. If you look up systemlink and give them a call they will give you plenty advice. The pump would be electric and a stat would switch it on so its all automatic. The quote for the stove and install isn't bad i assume the stove is 2/3 of that anyway.
