    Castlebar Cycling Club are Hosting a Fun Explore Mayo Cycle on Saturday 29th June 2013.

    Explore Mayo with the 47km, 92.4km and last but not least the 168km loop of County Mayo on June 29th 2013.

    Castlebar Cycling Club is hosting a leisure cycle on June 29th with a choice of 3 routes for all abilities -47km for the novice cyclist, 92km challenge for the leisure cyclist and the big one 168km for the more serious enthusiast

    All welcome to attend for a fun day out! Parking, showers and food stops provided on the day.


    Castlebar Cycling Club is hosting a leisure cycle on Saturday June 29th starting and finishing in Castlebar with a choice of 3 routes to suit all abilities. Parking and showers available. Helmets are compulsory. All Welcome!

    REGISTRATION ON THE DAY: St Gerald’s De La Salle Hall, Newport Road, Castlebar, 200m from Aldi

    REGISTRATION ON LINE/ ROUTE DETAILS: www.castlebarcyclingclub.org

    ENTRY FEE: €25 (92km & 168km); €20 (47km) – includes food stops along the routes

    Post event gathering will take place in Mulroys Pub, Main Street, Castlebar after the event so make sure to join us for the post ride chat and food!

    Register online to guarantee a place, numbers limited to 250

    Some on the day registrations between 8am and 9am on the 29th June

    Cycle starts at 9am for the 170km and 10am for the 90km and 50km

    Do you happen to have a map of the route for the 90km route?

    Will be down Wesht at the weekend, wouldn't mind getting out for a nice spin, weather permitting.

    The 168km loop is similar to the one I did recently as part of the Mayo Pink ribbon cycle

    Great scenery and road surface is pretty good in most places. Wind is your only enemy up around those parts of Mayo.

    Forgot to mention some people are using the day to Fun Raise for their local Charity so by all means get sponsorship for the Charity of your Choice.

    It should be a great day out on June 29th.

    You could store the routes in mapmyride and paste up the links. Might be easier for people to view.
