    Hey guys,
I'm looking for someone with possibly some previous experience of building a rig or at least familiar with the procedure to put together a unit capable of mining litecoin and other alt coins at approx at 3000 kh/second or more depending on parts available here/budget. Not really looking for someone who wants to give it a go but someone who is 100% capable of getting it right first time around due to overclocking/heat issues on rigs like this. If you think your the person I am looking for let me know!

you missed the boat, there is no point now at this stage, mining bitcoins is certainly out of the picture due to ASICS rolling out soon and the difficulty at present.

mining litecoins is pretty much the same now, you would only get 5 litecoins a day at present difficulty which would yield you 16$, bear in mind difficulty is going up all the time after block retargets.

I mined with (2x 6990s 2000 hash) for a while and it cost around 165 euros a month to run them 24/7

how much would you make a month back then with the 6990's?

Theoretically its worth it to mine and hold, or it could be. Just a few months ago 1 LTC was less than 0.5USD, same 1LTC is now worth 3-3.2USD. If you can afford to mine and hold then you *may* make some money.

That said, A+ Guru is right, the OP is too late.

    1. ASICs Move in
    2. BTC difficulty soars
    3. All GPU miners from BTC move to LTC
    4. LTC difficulty soars

If you'd bought two months ago it'd be a good idea, now, its a big risk if you'll ever get your money back, even after selling the hardware off. If this were france, f'ck yes, they get super cheap energy, but here not so much(could be worse though).

The rigs arent hard to build though, you can do it in a milk crate.
