Specsavers Lensmail

If this is the wrong forum for this thread then my apologies, I wasn't sure where it should go.

Anyway I am on lensmail with Specsavers and have been for a little over 2 years I'd say. As part of the deal it gives you a significant reduction in the price of glasses if you wish to buy a pair. So I bought a good pair of glasses in March replacing the old faithfuls that I'd had for 2 years, 3 days later I fell and they smashed off the ground (typical). I went into the store and the staff did the best that they could with them to repair them in store. It's a couple of months later and any kind of impact with them and they bend out of place, I went in again only last week and again the staff did their best to fix them. The lense is no longer in the frame and they seem to beyond repair shape wise.

I'm wondering if you are only allowed one purchase of glasses per year on a reduced rate on the lensmail package? If so, would my guarantee on the current glasses be able to get the store to send them off to the manufacturers? Or is there anything that I can do that I just haven't thought of or already mentioned?

I'd really rather not have to pay €189 if most days I wear my contact lenses but I did like occasionally having a decent pair of specs to wear about.

Firstly as regards the number of pairs you can get discount on - why not just ask them?

As for guarantees, I know of no glass manufacturers who guarantee against you breaking them, as opposed to a fault with the frames.

€189 is damned cheap! Mine cost me €570', three years ago!

Nearest I'm aware of is the Vision Express Grand Advantage scheme (which costs money albeit not a huge amount), but their frames are usually significantly dearer to begin with.

Correct, by that's an additional insurance cover. A different thing altogether.

I just got a letter the other day from lensmail abot the free glasses, you get a free pair of glasses up to around €69 (or a €69 reduction for more expensive pairs) every 2 years you are on lens mail.
