Well, do you use a smart charger to charge it? If you do them the problem probably lies with the motor.....it's probably on its way out and should be replaced ASAP before it fries the everything else.
If you do not use a smart charger and your sure that the battery is fully charged then there is a good chance that the battery is broken and will have to be replaced

Try another battery and see if it works. Or try that battery in a different aeg. This eliminates the battery as a problem. If you have a multimeter you can check the voltage of your battery.

Failing that check all connections, motor, check your fuse if you have one., connections be it deans or tamiya, inspect the cable, failing all these inspect your trigger contacts.

Got the battery checked today and all is fine. It has me confused why it wouldn't work before but does now so im wondering is it a faulty connection somewhere thats acting up every now and then

Take a look at the pins in the connector block there flimsy out, but if I were you I'd still inspect all your wiring especially your motor connection.

Yeah switching to deans is a good call. Tell me bout it, the joys indeed, Were never happy I wreckon..... :).
