Samsung R530 battery issue

    My laptop is wrecking my head right now.

    Everything was going fine yesterday, until the universal charger I was using stopped working. Went in to get a new one, which was working fine until a few minutes ago until it seems to have stopped working.

    What seems to happen is that when it is turned off, but plugged in, there is a red light that either flashes or stays static where the charger indicator is. This turns stops completely when Windows boots up and now the icon for the laptop is saying it's not plugged in or charging. If I have it turned off but the battery taken out, then the light goes to green, but doesn't power on.

    Any ideas?

    Recently my sumsung rc530 is totally fine when plugged in and powered on but as soon as i take the charger cable out it stops working?!

    Any idea? Is this a similar issue to yours ?
