Journal.ie cover letter with images

Wondering if anyone can help here... TheJournal.ie are looking for a cover letter with images to be pasted into designated box, but I can't figure out how to do it without losing the images. Does anyone know how to get around this?

You could append the cover letter to the CV and just attach the file (pdf I guess)
