A friend's dad died about two years ago and part of his estate were some Bank of Ireland shares which had a date of death valuation of .35p stg and now are valued at 12.50 stg. Probate has only just been got and the two beneficiaries are not sure if the value for the purpose of division should be the current or date of death one? Any help most appreciated.
