Anyone playing it? Reviews are excellent and from what I've seen in the videos it looks decent enough. Hows the longetivity on it?

I didn't, was looking for feedback on it. I might take the dive next week though.

I was interested in this to see if it'd be suitable for my son (almost 7) who is showing a strong taste for strategy style games. I can't figure out from the videos on Steam though whether it's a simple game or a really complicated game that just looks simple.

I'm on a Steam diet. I'm just not getting around to playing games much at the moment and the unplayed list got unmanageable around two years ago. :p

Other than buying the odd game for the boy I don't plan on buying much other than sequels or expansions for series I'm a big fan of. Though that damned Kerbal Space Program is tempting me. :/

Yeah, at the moment it's a combination of iPad games and games from my Steam account that I view as suitable.

Just bought it on steam a few minutes ago. Ill give an opinion when I play for a while.

Took a long time to find a game to play. So many disasters made of some great potential hits. SimCity, x rebirth..etc

    Maybe simple is better!

Just finished playing a few hours of it. Completed Phase 1 tier.

It's a fun game. Certainly some original aspects to it. It's more of a occupy some large ime game rather than a get absorbed into it sort.

It is peaceful and fun though. Like playing settlers without the hardcore element to it. Just a bit of fun.

It has some interesting concepts and I expect quite confidently that further into the game you get, the more absorbing it must become because the number of combinations of plants/animals/aspects/terrain become quite complex. It certainly is worth the 10euro it is at the moment if you like building sort of games and would like something peaceful to come back to every now and again.

It'd be an interesting learning tool for kids. It uses symbiosis between different animals and plants to further the prosperity of a town and highlights that without them, a place withers.

It has a surprising level feature which forces you to only play 30 minutes to achieve your objectives. After that, the planet goes back to sleep and you get your unlocks. Using these unlocks the next time the planet awakens/level lets you get further each time. You aim for different goals each time, not just build everything and have a perfect city. This may come in handy for parents which can let their kids play 1 or 2 levels and then off to bed.

When you progress further, It becomes a more skilful choice of which 'gaints/forces of nature' have which abilities at the cost of others.
Mixing things like the giant of swamps with the giant of mountains work well while the giant of water can do little in a desert terrain.

    Cheers
