Dell Inspiron 350 Graphics problem

Hi lads. My computer won't boot past the Dell logo screen and as you can see from the attached picture the problem seems to be attributable to the integrated graphics. Would sticking a new graphics card into the PCI express slot sort things out and if so what would you recommend? I don't play games on it so I don't need anything high-end.

Since its integrated video it could also be bad RAM, because the integrated video uses some of the RAM as its own video memory. If you have two or more memory modules, try starting the machine with just one, and try the others on their own too.

If not, a PCI Express video card may work, but I wouldn't trust a motherboard with faulty onboard video. On these machines the video is integrated into the northbridge chipset and this handles other things too, so who knows what else has gone wrong in there?

Thanks Karsini. I'll troubleshoot the RAM and see if that sorts it and report back.

You were on the ball. Bad RAM was the culprit. Thanks again. You were a great help :D
