2k would go a long way on the net, is that the absolute limit, or have you yet to check down the back of the couch?
    eg. http://www.wiggle.com/ridley-damocles-special-edition-105-2012/
    what are you minded towards?

Buy a Da Vinci alloy Road Bike with a 20 speed Ultegra Chainset, 53 / 39 on the front and 11 - 25 on the rear , should cost no more than €1200, it's a beast of a machine and rock solid.

Make sure you get fitted and get the correct size bike a 54 is a lot different to a 56 over 90km on a Sunday morning.

unsure about getting an internet bike.have you got one.any problems getting it fixed if it broke down.have nothing especially in mind.budget is 2000e max but would prefer it around 1500e mark but would go the extra if it worth doing so.

Have a look at Turas Bikes: http://www.turasbikes.com/

I've ridden Treks since I started cycling. Currently on a Madone 4.5 (2011) - no issues whatsoever.

I bought mine from a Bricks and Mortar Bike shop in Castlebar , Mayo. the guy ships Ireland wide and the build quality on the spec I mentioned is exceptional, I have been riding it in all weathers over the past 12 months and it's still as good as new but somewhat dirtier ( that is down to me )

Castlebar Cycle Store, Guys name is Brian Cawley, phone number is on google
