I know there's a thread for takeaways but that predominantly seems to focus on chippers.

Just wondering what folk think are the best Chinese/Thai takeaways around?

I like Sabai even though takeaway is expensive and the Imperial does the job but anyone else like to give me a few recommendations?

Im not too sure as to the answer but if anyone out there can suggest a great place to get a takeaway curry in Waterford id love to hear from them. I dont order food much but was looking for something different this weekend. Basically, chicken curry/Indian curry options that are tasty, and advice? Sorry OP, I guess we will both get an answer!

Eastenders, on the Quay near the bridge is certainly one of the best for Indian takeaway.

Little India on Parnell street are the business, Used to always get Chinese but my stomach would be in bits after it.

Little India smashes Eastenders and Cafe Goa out of the park when it comes to an Indian. It's top notch.

Chinese wise, the selection isnt great, but thats standard for most parts of Ireland. Imperial Garden on the Manor probably the best of the lot.

Much better selection when it comes to Indians, Cafe Goa would be the best imo, but is pricey. Next best but probably the best value is Little India and Eastenders also good but not as stand out as the other two.

Johnnie Jumbos in Ballybricken for a chinese. It's been there for decades and has lovely thick cut chips as apposed to the frozen thin straws you sometimes get elsewhere. Curry sauce is tasty.

    Sabai all day long,

There are at least three things on the menu that are to die for. Like that's been said though it's seriously expensive

Not on just eat, had a glance at the menu there on the website and it doesnt mention delivery.

This has reminded me I havent been in there in ages, must rectify that situation post haste.

Little India has been the biggest let down I have had in a long time, have given them two chances now and been woefully disappointed both times, first time the food was practically cold and extremely late. Second time they messed up the order, they wanted to take back the **** up that was already on my plate (as if they were going to serve it to someone else!) but I explained Id be binning it as they surely had no use for it. They sent out a replacement order which took 45 minutes to come.

I used to always use Eastenders for Indian, have grown fond of Planet Spice lately though

On the quay. Across from the bus station.

I recommend Morzio restaurant down Henrietta Street-called in last week, and was really impressed-usually go to Kambo for Thai and for takeaway-but this place was equally as good,if not better

    Chinese: Imperial Garden

Indian: Little India (but Kashmiri Tandoori is the business - just very pricey for delivery/take away)

Thai : Still haven't found decent Thai ....
