I'm trying to figure out a wiki we can use for our college group, which can either be run online (e.g. mediawiki) or just stored online (e.g. EMA Personal Wiki uses Dropbox) - however, we also need to be able to access it offline, using Android OS tablets.

I've setup a mediawiki already, to test, and I've seen apps on the Play Store that can get dumps of Wikipedia (Kiwix), but haven't a clue if these can be repointed at any mediawiki site?

We really liked the simplicity of EMA Personal Wiki, but the available formatting, using "Markdown", is very limited, e.g. no tables.

We had been using WoaS, which was really good, but this doesn't look like a long term solution.

I'm sure there are others who have done this, so any advice would be very welcome.
