hi all, I own a Peugeot 206 02. I discovered that my back wheel on the drivers side is rubbing against the inside, I think the axle must be worn down? The car is unroad worthy now? has anyone had this problem before, can it be fixed?

Either the rear axle bushes are very badly worn or you have damaged the rear axle by an impact of some sort.

If the bushes are worn that badly there will have been knocking noises and poor handling for some time before now.

Sounds like the bearings in the end of the axle have collapsed. There is some company s on done deal that repair the axles at around 350euro
