Switching courses, probably late?

I was wondering is it possible to switch courses this late in the year? I'm just finishing up first year exams in UCC but want to do a course in Letterfrack which I got an offer to go after my Leaving Cert in 2012? I would like to start this Septemeber but haven't done anything through the CAO yet? Any help is appreciated
