    Hi guys, quick question.
I myself did 4year level eight from nui galway in biomed engineering three years ago. I'm currently working in the states
My brother is thinking of doing a 3 year ordinary degree with the level eight, one year add on. (Gmit)
He asked me would he have trouble gaining high end jobs "available to me" . I didn't know how to answer that?

Didn't stop me getting work. I think it's a good option. Not gmit but similar course

After a couple years experience, no body typically cares where your degree is from. Often your school and grade count towards entry level. Main thing is to make sure it is Engineers Ireland accredited. He could always transfer to NUIG after if he thought it would make a difference.

I got the impression he was saying he didnt go to GMIT but did a similar course.

And no, I dont think it particularly matters, however as some above said, make sure the course is accredited by Engineers Ireland. I went down the IT route and am working ever since.
