    erm... whats going on here then?

    I cant resolve www.google.com at the moment (on a Local ISP)
    yet I can get there when VPNed into work and going out via 'nother country (work Name server could be caching for me though)
    Can hit www.google.com from my work PC but not from my home connection (using same IP address resolved on work PC) ?

    Weird :eek: is d'internet broken?!

    Would it be a temporary DNS issue with your ISP? Which ISP are you using?

    I'm with eircom. Can open google.com but tracert timed out to google.com

    I could not access google drive for the past few mins, on UPC... other sites were ok... drive seems to be working again now...

    I could not go on google either, I thought there was a problem with my internet so I re set it, lol. Seems to be a problem all round.

    Update: Google works for me now.

    Was the same here on UPC in swords very very slow but ok now.

    Just checked again and its back - that was very strange,
    could get to anything else,
    could not traceroute to google DNS servers (timed out after next hop from inex -not that thats anything to go by)
    but the really wierd thing was I had no problems getting it from outside the country :eek:
    que music from The Twilight Zone...

    And to answer earlier question - I'm not on eircom or UPC (I'm special :D)

    Thanks for confirming that at least I wasnt loosing the plot and it wasnt just the NSA/CIA/MI5,6,7 etc. blocking my searches for funny cat videos:D

    No but seriously this happened me on an eircom connection on my phone. I try to avoid using eircom's dns.
