All the light bulbs are blowing!

Apologies if this is the wrong forum but if anyone has any advice that would be great. I live in a two bedroom apartment. Our bathroom light has been flickering for quite a while now. Then today, the bulbs in both bedrooms went, followed by all six spotlight bulbs in the kitchen/living room area. Three of the kitchen ones were replaced a few months ago so they shouldn't blow at the same time as the others. The bathroom light is still flickering and the hall light is currently the only fully functional one. My flatmate said she tried to put a new bulb in in the bedroom a little while ago (I'm not at home myself at the moment) and it's not working. Is this a circuit problem? Anything we can do or do we have to get an electrician in?

EDIT: She tried changing some in the kitchen sorry, didn't try the bedrooms yet!

We have a similar issue ,
Was explained in another forum on here that if you put bulbs in by hand the oil on your skin can cause bulbs to blow prematurely by heating up apparently,
Was advised to replace bulbs using a cotton type glove ,
    Sounds stupid I know ,

We've barely been getting 6 weeks use off long life bulbs

What type bulbs are they. Are they spots and if so are you putting LEDs in. I also agree that you shouldnt touch the surrounds with your hand if they are not LEDs as suggested by a previous poster.

They are halogen spotlight bulbs. Looks like we may have our answer. Any idea why they all blew at once though considering they weren't all put in at the same time?
