Corners cut off passport

I am 17 and am in 6th year in school. For our graduation the majority of 6th years went out clubbing, however since I'm only 17 I thought it might be a good idea to get a fake ID.My friend told me he knew someone that could stick a fake date of birth over your real on on your passport.I thought this wouldn't be too risky as my friend is a trustworthy person and the sticker would peel off. When I got the passport back everything was ok I got into the club without being asked for ID and had a great night. The following morning I looked at my passport and noticed that the corners had been cut off.It isn't very noticeable as it would be on a cancelled passport but the corners are still slightly cut off.Im wondering if this means I will not be allowed to use my passport anymore or if it doesn't make a difference. I need to know soon as I have a holiday booked for the summer and I would like to buy a new passport sooner rather than later if it turns out my passport is cancelled now.i would appreciate if there are not comments telling me how stupid I am doing this to my passport as I already know.I have attached a photo to show the corner but I took the photo from the back for to hide my details.

Does your passport still have the fake DOB on it? Are you able to even remove it?

If you can't you'd be travelling on forged documents which could get you in mucho trouble.

Yes I can take off the sticker but even when I take the sticker off will I be able to use it to go on holidays?

I'd suggest you replace it ,

That or be refused travel due to a tampered passport

    Welcome to Boards Luke.

There is a dedicated passport forum here.

    Might be handier for you.

If your passport has been tampered with I would advise replacing it.

What you think might not be noticable will be spotted immediately by passport control in any airport and you could face a long series of questions as to why it happened.

My advice would be - Do not attempt to use that travel for travel purposes.

Tampering with travel documentation is a criminal offence and you could land yourself and the muppet who did this to your passport in trouble

Better safe than sorry, get a new one.

Immigration officials will cop if even the slightest thing is wrong with your passport (though some countries are more vigilant than others) and you'll be in for a nice sit in a vacant room for a while if they do.

Keep the old one for fake ID anyway, if you don't turn eighteen too soon.

I'm locking this thread on the bases that it centres around tampering with passports which is clearly illegal.

The corners are cut off passports when they are cancelled. One has to wonder has another passport been requested in your name, but with a different person's photo.

That is how foolish your actions are.
