Video Decoder?

Hi there guys, just wondering what video decoding format you use while recording with a Hauppauge HD PVR? Do you all use or have a preference to PAL over NTSC? I've been recording in NTSC no problems but I'm wondering would recording in PAL make any odds, and which exact PAL should I use? PS for some reason my capture…
