Ford Focus creaking at low speeds

I have a 2005 Ford Focus (old model) and there is a creaking noise coming from the front passenger area. It is only there at low speeds and when turning. It does not seem to occur if there is someone in the passenger seat (weight issue).
I gave it to mechanic he replaced tie rod - told me it was worn and was now perfect. As it inspires, he did not ever hear the noise when he drove it. Anyhow the noise was still there. Brought it back to him and he said he heard the noise and it was the upper strut mount. He took apart, cleaned, greased and said it was perfect again.... the noise was still there.
I brought it to another mechanic who said it sounds like steering rack.... nothing going to fall off, may need to be changed eventually.
The noise is doing my head in.
Anyone have similar issue or shed any light on subject?

Upperstrut mount/shock top would be my guess on the left side. Most of the ones I replaced on the focus were on the passenger side for some reason. I'd replace it rather than put grease in.

Has a similar problem on a 2008, was creaking over speed bumps and turning. Turned out it was the right front strut top mount, then it failed again after 12 months. Both replaced under warranty.
