    Hi Sasta le,

There is a plug in energy monitor available on our online store. It can measure the electricity units (kWh’s) used by your various appliances.

We also have a great section on our website with advice on how to be energy efficient and how to reduce your energy costs in your home.

Here is some other information on energy advice you might find useful:
    • Try to use showers instead of baths to reduce the hot water consumption by up to half.
    • Insulate your attic to a recommended thickness of 300 mm as this can reduce your heat loss by up to one third.
    • Use CFL bulbs they can use 80% less electricity and can last up to 15 times longer than ordinary bulbs.
    • Switch off TV's, DVD's, Hifi's etc when not is use. Do not leave them on standby mode.
    • Don't fill the kettle every time you use it , just boil enough water for your needs.

If you would like to make further enquiries about your specific usage or your bill, please private message me your Electric Ireland account number, full name, and address.

Let us know if you have any other queries, and we'll be happy to help.

    Regards,
    Aoife
