Masonry Paint

Hi, hopefully this is in the correct section.

I'm painting a house that hasn't seen paint in years. I power hosed the walls last Saturday and on the cappings/windowsills I'm down to the cement (as in the old paint just flaked off). Can I paint directly onto this or should I put something on the cement first? Don't want to waste time and paint if I should be putting something on first. Thanks!

I done the same job last year after power washing i applied a masonry primer then two coats of paint.

If your painting it white you could mix the primer with the paint for the first coat.
