Tax on Amateur Art Group

I have a question on behalf of an amateur art group who want to publish a book with their paintings and artist notes etc. They are all going to put a couple of hundred eruos in each to get the book published and hoping to distribute it in shops to sell. (they are only publishing 1000) Money received from sales will firstly go back to reimburse each artist for the money that they put in and either divide the rest between them or as a group put the money into future publishing. How much can they make on this without paying tax? They are from different backgrounds ie some retired, some on PAYE and some self employed.
