Passenger side window of car was smashed. Insurance not covering it.

I rang Autoglass but they are to ring me back with quote details. Anyone know how much it would roughly cost and if there might be better places to get it done cheaper?

What kind of car, is it just the glass to be replaced. I would say get the glass from scrap yard and get an garage to fit it for you. Should only take 30 mins to replace.

Op - check adverts.ie for someone breaking a Astra then get someone you know to fit it, it's not that big a deal to fit or someone at your place of work might be mechanically minded? no way would i pay €110e when you can get it doen cheaper

If it is a window that opens and closes then it would be cheaper to source a used one from a scrap yard and have a go at fitting it yourself. If it is a fixed windows that doesn't open then you may still get one from a scrap yard but it maybe more tricky finding a place to fit it as they may not want to fit glass they don't supply.
