Child benifit / one parent family

Hi just wondering if a woman is on the loan parents and is receiving maintenance from the father is that money deducted from her payment or is it added on top Also if she is receiving maintenance but the father has no access is she still classed as a one parent family Thanks

As long as they are not cohabiting they are a one parent family. It doesnt matter if the father sees the children or not. I think it is deducted or some of it is best to check on welfare.ie for info.
