    Hi guys,

Long story short I converted my primary partition to a Simple volume.(don't ask:pac:)

I restarted my computer and found that my computer cannot boot into windows.

My laptop originally came with windows installed and it is now looking for installation CD that I never had. The recovery option doesn't seem to work either probably because it can't access my hard drive!

I'm using Linux Mint at the moment by booting it from the CD drive. I can see my hard drive and all its files so I'm wondering where do I go from here to get back into windows??

Burned the ISO image onto a dvd-r and put it in. Selected boot from DVD option but it just came back to the menu where it said please insert your windows instillation disk!

I get this error : The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccesible

Did u get the correct version? 32/64 bit?
You should be able to get to a command prompt using the disk or a PE disk and use DISKPART to fix it also. set it to ACTIVE.

    check commands there.

I burned the image to another disk and we seem to be up and running. I will post back when it is (hopefully) setup!

Ok just another thing I am after noticing is that my c drive is still coming up as a simple volume as oppose to a primary partition. How would I go about reverting this back?!

It should be a simple volume, you originally probably just removed the active element from it.
Go into Disk Management and make sure it's marked as active.

I had to change it back using easeUS. The use of this program prevented data loss too which was sweet! Cheers for all the help
