    Hello.

I will start my undergraduate course at Galway in this September.
I wonder about living costs of Galway, is it expensive than other cities such as Cork or Limerick? I prepare my living costs about 750EURO per month, include housing, bills, food and others. I don't like drinking so, i can save my money from go to bar or night club.

As fact, how much do you spend your money for living cost?
Please give me some advise how to save my money.

    Thank you very much :D

Galway can be as expensive or as cheap as you like to live in. Provided you don't mind a ~15-20 minute walk to College you'll be able to get rent for <€300 sharing. I've survived for 5 years in Galway through various amounts of income. At one point I would have been on about €500/month and managed to pay rent, food, bills etc. with only a little bit of budgeting required.

Also, the fact that you won't drink will save you A LOT of money in Galway. ;)

I'd say as long as you find somewhere with reasonable rent the rest will take care of itself, ~€450 should be plenty to pay bills/food/etc. monthly.

One piece of advice is to watch your electricity usage. If you let that run rampant you can get stung pretty badly. Especially if your house uses electric heaters.
