PW In the Spotlight is baaaack. Took a few month of as I kinda forgot about it and I think people got a bit sick of it too. Plus the draft took over.

Anyway, next in line for a veritable grilling is none other than the bauld Bounty Hunter, long time poster, moderator and the man who'll hunt you down if you skip bail and then give you a cigarette and ask the lord to help you once you're cuffed.

    Rules:
    1. Questions should be Pro Wrestling related although some leeway is allowed e.g. TV and Film interests (Stuff we all talk about in the Off-Topic Thread)
    2. Let's not have questions that are too personal. The poster doesn't have to answer anything they don't want to.
    3. Moderator has final decision on what questions are appropriate or deemed too personal or unrelated.
    4. No discussion of poster's answers in the thread
    5. Only the poster should be answering the questions.

    Default/Sample Questions
What got you into Pro Wrestling in the first place?
What keeps you interested in it?
How did you come across the PW forum on Boards?
What keeps you coming back to the forum?
What other big interest do you have outside of Pro Wrestling?
What wrestler/story/moment do you feel had the greatest impact on you as a fan?
Where did your username come from?

Two per week was far too much, glad this took a break as low feedback just makes the guy in question feel bad.

    1. How was PW boards different when you joined?
    2. How did you get picked for modding?
    3. Favourite take-away genre (indian, chinese etc) and what's your usual?

almost feel like giving a this was all fields type answer as I've been on boards so long at this stage. Virtually all of the posters have changed and PW boards went through some tough times before and had a terrible reputation boardwide and lost a lot of good posters as a result. It was also a lot more tribal in feeling at times than it is now as one of the main changes has been the positiv community atmosphere that is associated with PW boards now. Many of the regular PW boards posters are among the best boardswide imo and its gone from a place where moderating would be a thankless chore (thanks Fozzy, Vince etc) to one where the before mentioned regulars would almost all be great choices for mods if there was even a need for them cos as is very little actual moderation is needed of this place. I've often said on here that I give a lot of my thanks to the turn around to my predecessor and former co-mod Orestes for wielding his Ban Hammer so ferociously and regularly before we became a 2 man team and clearing out a lot of the negative element that made the place more welcoming to new posters. I'm sure though he would mention a few others who were just as influential.

I'd assume I got picked partially because I was one of if not the longest posting regulars on the forum although if im honest (without wanting to sound big headed) Orestes told me I was the first choice and who he thought of immediately because of my posting style (debate good Arguing online pointless) despite not being a dry $hite and that he thought people might respond to a mod with that style. If someone contributes to the site in a positive way thats more than just posting it's considerd and shows the potential to mod, just like how your (as an already reg poster) podcasts and the OSW thread higlighted you my Around The Horn quizzes did similarily for me also

This one I guess has changed as it used to be chinse food and I'd probably get a ouse special chow mein from my local maybe with an extra sauce, but my order would change if it wasnt just me ordering for myself.

Now after living in Taiwan & China for the past 4yrs or so ummm as much as I wish it was something different I gotta say Delivery McDonalds. Yep most countries even the stronghold of McDs America doesent have delivery from them but both TW & China do and its super fast, open 24hrs and cheap so has been orderd many times

It was generally one per week but even that was overkill tbh. So it'll be more sporadic agin from now on.

Why do you support Aston Villa?

Do you prefer Ireland or the Orient?

How much of a pain in the a-hole is modding soccer?

Villa is an odd team to follow in many ways but there is also a large Villa fanbase in Ireland more than with many non current big 4/5 etc clubs and Id imagine a large amount of those Villa fans might follow them for the same reason I did. When I was young, I was football (sport in general really) mad but as a small child didnt know too many players nor did I have any players / club be pushed on me by family memebers cos my dad who despite being a Leeds fan is more of a Rugby man.

As a kid I then had the chance to choose for myself and every kid wants to be unique so I didnt want to be a Man Utd or Liverpool fan like everyone else and without outside influence went with who my favourite players who I did now about at the time played for. Those were Irish players and tbh Paul McGrath was my hero and to a lesser degree Steve Staunton add in Houghton & Townsend being there at the same time and the fact that not too long ago at the time they had won the european cup and young BH was sold.

Its really hard to state a preference tbh, If I was able to speak perfect chinese I might prefer Taiwan and there are more opportunities in China (but generally speaking the place sucks balls imho) but I still love Ireland and hope to get back again soon

ha, the soccer board.... it's not like PW anyway thats for sure but honestly I think it has improved and mostly thats because of what i kept repeating in the feedback thread that I think lead me to get asked to be a mod. They needed a good few new mods not just one and I def think they got a good new bunch in with the likes of Gavredking and Mars Bars for example. tbh I almost turned it down and had said in that feedback thread I probably would as I would not be as active as some of the other mods (time difference not to mention other issues alone) so id say the annoyances are greater for the other mods

If you could make anyone a mod for the PW forum who would it and who would you ban?
Whats the most annoying thread in the Soccer forum to Mod?
Would yo give R.Dunne a new contract at Villa?

tough one to be honest seing as there where o sooo many, I always liked the big angles though like Who ran down Austin or the invasion angle even if it didnt have the star power to make it what it could have been. As a bit of an Undertaker mark I must admit I loved the Ministry too. In recent times the CM Punk pipebomb MITB angle where he left with the gold really sticks out too even if again it could have been better in the long run

I would give Dunne a new contract but I dont think he would accept it as I wouldnt be offering him big wages at his age and after the injuries he's had.

In the soccer forum you can usually tell what threads will be annoying before you even enter them because they are always the ones that will turn into an arguement (often Utd vs Liverpool) for instance the racism Evra/Suarez thread.

dont think it would be fair for me to talk about current posters with regards who I would ban (as I am a mod atm afterall) or even who I would mod but recent regular posters who in my opinion would warrant consideration if they were still regulars would include TheBostonCrab & Waltersobchek

What is the most awesome WWE entrance theme of them all.

    1. Current
    2. Of all time.
    3. Epically bad (Think Regal's Real Man's Man)

Any superstar from WWE or TNA currently you would repackage and push and why?

Would you rather have a fleeting three month career in which you headlined Wrestlemania against the Undertaker but you were never heard of again afterwards, OR have a 10 year run in WWE where you never got higher than the lower-midcard, often serving as a jobber to even Zack Ryder?

If you were a wrestler, what would be your dream feud and why?

From the current batch I guess id go with Brock's.

It's the answer most give but honestly Austin's glass smashing entrance as its just so associated with my memories of watching WWE back in the day. Whenever something was happening the fans would not like there was a big chance you might suddenly hear the glass smash followed by a pop that would lift the roof off the place and it was awesome.

Always liked Foley's, Angle's and the NWO's theme and of course Vinces also.

Bad ones is a toughy as I guess things i dont like are less memorable, most seemed to hate the X factor theme but for me it was so bad it was good and suited the heat magnets that were X factor. I never liked Takers "your gonna Pay" theme thought it was horrible and really didnt suit taker even if his character had evolved a bit.

I can't sing, not in any form at all. Although ive ended up in KTVs after a bottle of whiskey a few times while in Asia and the most common songs ive ended up singing have been Empire State of Mind or House of the rising son but seriously either way without first also downing a bottle of something strong it painful to listen to me.

The second one is one I feel I should think about as there are def a few who need it but off the top of my head id probably just end up naming ones others have spoken of previously, i.e Santino could go far as he can wrestle, is good on the mic and has the crowds support. Similarily i'd do as other have suggested with regards Ryder, have him start defending the internet title on PPV pre-shows. Similarily i'd push Bryan as hard as possible but dont think id repackage him although yeah slowly move him away from Kane and into the title picture.

If you were a wrestler, what would be your dream feud and why?

My dream feud...again off the top of my head... would probably be one of 3 and based solely on the fact of its storyline potential and the possibility of the epicness of going over against a)John Cena b)The Boss (Vince/HHH) or c) Taker

I mean if you have the chance for one big feud and to go over against someone I can't think of anyone who would have more potential given the right story than those 3. Breaking the Streak / The Boss or The Face of the WWE would be hard to top.

and yet having said that I'd probably take the 10 years over headlining a mania. I'm sure I would potentially regret having never main evented etc but to have what id consider a guaranteed career in Pro Wrestling would be near impossible to pass up.

hmm another one that if I replied another time I could have 2 completely different answers. I'll leave the Trish, Stacey, Lita, Maryse & Rosa/Steph/Gail/etc dinner for another night though and focus on people that might make good conversation and be good for a laugh

Paul Heyman, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mick Foley, JBL & cos im an Undertaker fan make Mark no.5

i'd say that group would work well together too but half way through the night and after a few drinks i'd have a surprise 6th guest arrive...Vince McMahon dammit!

from all walks of life umm...

Paul McGrath, Quentin Tarrantino, Larry David, Karl Pilkington and AJ Lee playing her WWE character, i'd pay to see their interaction :pac:

Well the lad who was running these isn't posting on this board right now? doesent mean someone else couldnt take over though.

If you meant this specific thread (doubt it) I'm happy to answer a few more questions but assume we should find the main thread and see who was next in line / if their still interested if you were looking to take over and re-start this thing.

    1. Which wrestlers have you met in person and any interesting stories to tell?

Not many tbh, met RVD in Ireland once but I was p!ssed at the time and think the conversation was brief and revolved around smokable materials.

    2. Three favourite bands of all time?

Ha think why this thread ran dry on me before was cos i gave long winded vague answers to each question like this... my bro was a DJ when I was younger so I got exposed to a big wide range of stuff but generally more oldies than new stuff so I was always a big Beatles fan for example, ditto Pink Floyd and U2 but RHCP, Oasis and a few others are there too.

    3. Which countries have you been to?

    how long have you got...

Ireland (lived), England (lived), Scotland, Wales, France, Germany (live), Austria (going there on Sunday or Monday), Holland, Spain (few times), Gran Canaria (Spain really I guess), Italy (was very brief but plan to go back soon), Czech Rep, Switzerland, America, Malaysia, Viat-Nam, China (lived), Taiwan (lived)... probably more but youve so many more questions for me to get to

    4. Which country has the sexiest women?

Well im engaged to a Taiwanese women who is sitting next to me so incase she looks...Taiwan

    5. How many wrestling shows have you been to, and list as many as you can remember.

Only 2, a non WWE (honestly cant remember the promotion AWR sounds right tho im sure its not) one and a WWE house show in Munich recently enough. Feel like I shoulda been to far more but I blame my globetrotting

    6. nWo or DX?

NWO even though I wasn't a WCW guy, think the returns destroyed the image of DX for me while NWO just seemed far more groundbreaking with the outsiders arrival and Hogans massive turn etc

    7. Favourite xmas song?

hard not to say Fairytale of New York especially as an Irishman abroad for so many Christmases, always liked Let it snow Let it snow Let it snow too though

    8. Favourite place to go in Dublin?

No longer exists (in name anyway) and wasnt that great when it did but Eamonn Dorans was a kinda home for me and my mates for some time. Not the tyical guy you would find in there but I always liked Forbidden Planet on the quays too. Really like the old Libary in where the book of Kells is on O'Connel street too. Probably a whole lot more if I think about

    9. Home and Away or Neighbours?

HOme and away when I lived in Ireland, Neighbours when I lived in England

    10. Any piercings and/or tattoos? Or future plans here?

Neither and no plans, wouldnt rule it out but it would have to be something very meaningful

    11. Do you lift weights or do any sports?

Used to be really sporty, Played Rugby and soccer (once got yellow carded for kicking Wayne Rooney repeatedly) to a pretty high level but after I spent a few months playing rugby with what I found out was a broken sternum (how i dont know but it was idiotic) I essentially stopped playing sports. Was never a big weights guy though

    12. Ever had wrestling training?

nah, woulda liked to but other sports and moving about got in the way

    13. Favourite actor?

hmm this could take a while, a few years ago I probably woulda talked about Kevin Spacey, Sir Anthony Hopkins and a few others but now im not too sure who my fav is Leo Di Caprio is getting there though as these days all his movies seem to be great

    14. Favourite actress?

okay ill move away from the great actresses here and just say Mila Kunis, not saying she is bad but im guessing there are other reasons ive liked her in everything from that 70s show to TED

    15. Hottest Diva/Knockout ever?

    16. What soccer team do you support?

    Aston Villa for my sins

    17. Best day/weekend of your life?

    18. Favourite ever sitcom/comedy?

just one is hard, i've loads I always reccomend to people and here is the current list:

    Animated:

Archer, The Life & Times of Tim, Family Guy, Bobs Burgers, The Boondocks, South Park, Archer, God the Devil and Bob, Futurama, The Ricky Gervais Show, The Simpsons, American Dad!. king of the hill.

    Quiz show comedies:

Would I Lie to You?, Mock the Week, Never mind the buzzcocks, 8 out of 10 Cats,

    Comedies:

Arrested Development, Peep Show, Seinfeld, Extras, The IT crowd, Father Ted, Brasseye, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Eastbound and Down, Black Books, Red Dwarf, Blackadder, Only fools & Horses, Partridge, Episodes, Community

    19. You can invite one wrestling personality for dinner, who do you choose and why?

just one is tough, i'd like to get someone who has been around for a long time, been to the top and perhaps even someone who has been involved in booking... considering that Flair would have to be an option

    20. Top 3 entrance themes?

SCSA: the glass smashing is iconic
Foley: Similarily the car crash noise always got my attension
then it would be close between a number of others but obviously my favs would have a preference like Angles theme was great as was the NWO theme, I was always a fan of Taker and Kanes and well for pure cheese considering the forum atm its hard not to think of Regals :pac:

    21. If you were a pro wrestler, and you have a few hours spare one evening, would you be most likely spotted doing a) visiting sick kids in hospital, b) out looking for women, c) hit the gym for weights and training, or d) spending quality time at home all day with friends and family.

i'd prefer to be spotted visiting sick kids, but think d would be more likely for me but then again if I was a wrestler I might have a different lifestyle and be more thinkng B

    22. Favourite Tarantino movie?

huge fan, but my favourite movie of all time (I think) is what I would go for here if it qualifies, as he did write it...True Romance, it's got it all.

    23. Austin or Goldberg?

Austin, although Bill did have that X factor / aura / special presence etc and I was a fan

    24. Cats or dogs?

Dogs by a mile, miss my dog in Ireland he rules

    25. Favourite city in the world?

tough one, tempted to say Taipei, although Chicago was great too

    26. Favourite 2013 made film?

    27. Favourite xmas movie?

big fan of how the Grinch stole Christmas (old Seuss cartoon) and a few others like Bad Santa and the Grinch but genuinely id say It's a wonderful life

    28. Favourite soccer stadium and/or sports arena?

been to a few like Villa Park, Anfield, Croke Park, Thomend and Wrigley field but something about Lansdowne makes it my fav, think its just the sheer number of matches I went to there, always imagined myself playing there as a kid

    29. Prediction to win the World Cup next year?

got a weird feeling about Argentina but my brain says Spain, Brazil (only cos its in Brazil) or Germany

    30. Favourite wrestling book?

Foleys first, though that might jhave more to do with when I read it and the style, very accesable and such a good guy who can talk about it all from sleeping in his car to Deathmatches in japan and main eventing Wrestlemania etc

Any boardsies going to the wedding & have you chosen a best man?

well the Wedding will be two places it would seem, one in Taiwan and then shortly afterwards one in Ireland (not even sure if the TW one will be legally binding in Ireland given how we dont even have an embassy there) and im only planning the Taiwan one now as it will be first. Obviously I dont expect boardsies to go to TW with 1/2 exceptions for example Bard (used to post here a good bit around the time I became mod, mostly during *hic* filled monday nights when we would watch, drink and post at the same time) who is my brother and most likely will be one of 2 best men (along with my other bro).

Only met Orestes one time and nobody else really from PW although thats because ive been off globetrotting and I would like to meet many of you fine folks otherwise

When I joined I assumed yourself & Jayk were brothers with Hunter in your username :o
When is the last time you lived in Ireland for a while btw?
Why did you accept the Soccer MOD gig

he's by brother from another mother... although tbh I don't know him at all outside of boards but from his OSW reviews etc I think he would be a good laugh

depends on what a while is but if its for more than a few months then it would be back around 2009

think it was because it was the only other board i posted on regularily and cos I said id only take it on if they got other mods added at the same time (which they did) and accepted that im not the most active mod ha although you wouldnt know it to look at my PW posting since the draft started
