    Sorry if this is not the correct forum for this, but I want a media player/Internet access etc on my TV. Any advice as to what is the best all round 'box' to buy. Been looking at reviews but would like to get one that someone has and is pleased with its performance.

    Thanks

    Apple TV gets my vote.

    Thanks for the reply,
    Apple TV is one of the ones I was reading about and it seems to be naturally tied up with video formats etc that Apple use. I don't have any Apple products, use itunes etc, so it mightn't be the ideal one for me.

    I like the Roku, I haven't seen the latest model but the last model was pretty good. http://www.roku.com/ie

    Well with Apple TV you have to get the content from the App Store, so you need an iTunes account;

    But it does work VERY well.

    The ads/reviews are always for UK or US use. Do all these boxes in general work in ROI if purchased from UK i.e. at least for Internet access, not particularly looking for Netflix or similar services - I just want a full internet browser and anything that comes with it would be a bonus.
