noticed a 3mth old calf with 1 ear drooped this evening. looks ok otherwise but safer turn him in to inject.

only have oxy 10 or penicillin at hand. which is best.

    thanks.

Sounds like he might have listeriosis. Has he access to silage which may have gone off? I had it in a year old bull a while back and its not easy to cure. It caused him to lose the sight in one eye for a few days. i'd get him looked at by a vet as soon as possible.

Did you check the tag on his ear? If it was put on too near to the vein it might be after getting infected. Check to see where it is, if in doubt cut it off.
