    Folks,

I noticed this a few months ago that Aer Lingus no longer fly to Krakow, i travel there myself twice a year and was just wondering if anyone knew the reason for this?

With the amount of Poles in Ireland and the fact that it's a popular city for weekend breaks i can't my head around it

    Cheers

I imagine Ryanair have priced them out of the market. I was in Krakow a few weeks ago - we flew out of Cork with Ryanair; total cost (including 1 checked in bag) for 2 people - €155. Outstanding value.

    Regards,

    John

I used to regularly bring school groups to Krakow and Aer Lingus would often work out cheaper than Ryanair from Dublin. I can't face the thought of myself and my colleagues trying to manage twenty or so teenagers spread all over the plane in unallocated seating, so I haven't gone with Ryanair since Aer Lingus dropped the route.

Aerlingus is often cheaper on the routes they compete on. Its a shame when this happens as ryanair are the first to lower frequency if theres even a slight drop in numbers

Wouldn't say Ryanair priced them out of the route but Aer Lingus could make even more money on another route instead.

if you look at the prices to popular resorts in spain where during high season theres barely a flight to be got for less than 200return, aer lingus might indeed have decided that the market to Poland is less lucrative.
